As the holidays are all around us and the year is coming to a close, I wanted to share a few 2021 missed connections and see if your readers can help put me in touch with them. Chances may be low but I figured why not put this out into the universe – here goes nothing.
1.
Way back in May I met someone at the Rose Park Farmers Market and we ended up chatting for a while and he asked for my number. I had my phone in hand so I said I’ll just get yours and as it turns out I entered a wrong number which I discovered after leaving the park. I went back to the market a few times but never ran into him again. If you’re reading this and would be up for getting together, let me know what I thought you were organizing at the park when we first started talking.
2. On a warm Monday afternoon in October, I was reading a book on a bench at Walter Pierce Park when someone came and started playing basketball right by me. As he was shooting hoops the ball came over to me a few times and I started chatting with him a bit. I got back to reading and after a while he said bye and headed out. Curious to chat more and if you are too then let me know what you were wearing that day since we had talked about one part of it.
3. Thanksgiving weekend I was with a friend at Jack Rose and I noticed a guy coming by the bar near us and he kept looking over and we’d lock eyes. He’d go back to the roof top area and then back to the bar – the whole time we kept glancing at one another. At one point one of the people he was with came directly over to our table and it seemed like they were scoping us out. I was intrigued and thought why not see if you’re interested in actually having a chat, if so describe who you were with and what you were wearing.”
