“We are Uyghur ~ Our food is Tasty”

2412 Wisconsin Avenue, NW

Hot on the heels of the Wingos news comes more action in Glover Park. Thanks to Ethan for sending. This is the Saigon Kitchen space that opened in the former JP’s strip club space back in April 2017. Eerkin’s website says (they have a Fairfax, VA location too):

“EERKINS has been serving quality Uyghur foods to its customers. Our Uyghur ethnic cooks with ancestors from Uyghur’s who are well-informed about the ancient recipes allowing us to offer the centuries old Uyghur foods. The usage of fresh vegetables, meat, beef, chicken and fish makes our Uyghur cuisine the most-tasty and mouthwateringly delicious food.

We are Uyghur ~ Our food is Tasty

A long history of Uyghur food culture is present with deep quality of being healthy with rich nutritional facts and green. EERKINS look into the Uyghur food culture and keep progressing its current condition in food culture. Customary Uyghur food has evolved into a huge cultural heritage element originating from ethnic groups. It is being extensively utilized in various local and international communities due to the health and healing qualities.”

You can see their menu here.

This is not the District’s first Uyghur action – Dolan Uyghur opened in Cleveland Park back in December 2016. Updates as Eerkins get closer to opening.

Finding a gift for moms can be difficult. Google “Mother’s Day gifts,” and you’ll scroll through endless lists of beauty products, candles and fuzzy robes. Sure, those are sweet, but sometimes it’s fun to surprise loved ones with something a little more, well, practical!

Here’s one idea: Give her a gift certificate for a home cleaning from Well-Paid Maids. It’s the perfect “thank you,” “I love you” or “you’ve got this” for any mom. She can schedule the home cleaning at her convenience and breathe easy knowing she has one less thing to do.

Our cleaners will take care of everything, including vacuuming and mopping as well as cleaning and dusting countertops, tables, mirrors, appliances and more. Sinks, toilets, showers and appliance exteriors also get a good scrub.
