From Nekisha Durrett:

“Thanks to generous funding from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, my mural The Wait can now be viewed on the facade of Mothership Diner in DC. Please join me at Mothership Diner on Thursday, February 19th from 6-7PM to properly celebrate the mural. I will also screen a short documentary film that explores my piece, my creative process, and the ever changing neighborhood of Park View. I collaborated with the very talented and inspired local filmmaker, Lorie Shaull, to document the production of the mural and its community impact. She captured a splendid snapshot of Park View and my foray into public art. AND also on view will be several photographs by two of my photography students from the Duke Ellington School of the Arts Museum Studies program, Kenyssa Evans and Tayvon Taylor who signed on to further document the project.

Late notice, I know – but REALLY hope to see you THIS Thursday. It will also be one of the last times to enjoy this warm neighborhood haunt as, sadly, it will be closing its doors on Sunday, February 22nd.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
