Coffee Creep is Back, Again and Again and

Getting multiple reports including:

Predator alert reporting for duty, he approached me on Conn and K (Tuesday.)

I immediately shut him down, went into the bank, and when I came out wouldn’t you know he was talking to

another woman! I approached them and said to him “weren’t you the guy who just asked me about a coffee shop?” He barked something at me but I didn’t hear what he said because I was explaining to the woman what he was up to. She separated herself from him soon after.

(I of course recommend serious caution when calling out a predator. Before approaching I made sure there were plenty of people around and he wasn’t exhibiting any odd or aggressive body language).”

and

“was walking down L (btwn 18&19) and guy starts walking along next to me asking if I’m rushing to a gym class. Then asks where he can get a good coffee around here. Bell goes off and I quickly cross the street. What is up with him?!”

and

“I was approached by the coffee date predator this week. I was holding a salad across from the Farragut Square Sweetgreen on Tuesday around 12.45pm, waiting to cross the street, when he pointed to my salad and asked if Sweetgreen was nearby. I pointed across the street and said it was there but it was really busy. He then asked if there were any other good places around and said, “You look like the lunch expert.”

I said there were lots of places around (because we’re in fucking Farragut at lunchtime). He then asked specifically about a ramen bar and I said I didn’t know. He then told me had just moved from New York and asked if I wanted to get coffee sometime. I said, “That’s ok,” and he turned around and walked away.

It was really creepy to be tricked into a conversation ostensibly about salad and be asked out after about 30 seconds.”

We’re about a month out from summer. That means you’ve still got time for spring cleaning!

Lexi Grant, an operations manager at Well-Paid Maids, shared her go-to spring cleaning tips with WTOP News. Step one? Declutter. Get rid of items you don’t use, find space for items that need a home and organize those areas.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
