Dupont Circle

“The thing about leashes is that they need to be on the dog.”

“Dear PoPville,

A young woman in north Dupont circle is letting her large black lab run around the streets unleashed. It aggressively jumped on me as I was running while she was half a block away. When I asked her to leash her dog, instead of apologizing she angrily held up a leash in her hand. The thing about leashes is that they need to be on the dog.

There are too many kids that live in DC for entitled dog owners to have their dogs run wild with impunity.”

Not clear if the same incident but another reader shared: “PSA for walkers/runners here in DC: My wife just got attacked by a dog on the P St Bridge in Northwest. Owners said the dog is “really scared of runners” and left without sharing contact info.”
