Join us for A Night on the Farm! This event will feature dishes highlighting produce from the farm creatively prepared by local chef, Armani Johnson.

Cocktail Hour: 5-6:30pm

The cocktail hour will feature 3 cocktails highlighting farm produce and light refreshments.

The cocktail hour is open to anyone, regardless if you have bought a ticket to the Seated Dinner with Chef Armani Johnson or not. One ticket will provide one attendee with 3 drink tickets.

Cocktail hour will wrap up at 6:30 pm, and those who wish to stay for the seated dinner must purchase tickets for that event separately. Guests who have purchased a ticket to the Dinner on the Farm must separately purchase a ticket to the Cocktail Hour, if they are interested in the Cocktail Hour. If you have purchased tickets for the Seated Dinner on the Farm, you may continue to use your tickets during the dinner.

~ Whipped white bean spread, tomato relish , lavash

~ Heirloom tomato salad, whipped feta cheese, everything spice

~ Blackened bass, Carolina rice grits, field peas with tomato gravy

~ “Peaches and cream” Summer peaches, buttermilk semifredo, brown butter cake

Vegetarian Option will feature Eggplant and Mushrooms, Carolina rice grits, field peas with tomato gravy.

About Chef Armani Johnson

Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland, Chef Armani Johnson’s culinary’s voice combines mid-Atlantic/southern soul and American Chinese takeout from his childhood. He has worked in numerous well-known restaurants in the DC area, including Brabo by Robert Wiedmaier, Julii, Macon Bistro & Larder, and Sally’s Middle name. Johnson is the former executive chef at ABC Pony, Erik Bruner-Yang’s Italian-Asian bistro that, since its opening in Fall/Winter 2019, survived the pandemic with everything from daily dinner meals-to-go, doughnut specials, and burgers & pinsa comfort food. He has also served as a chef for the Power of 10 Initiative, Erik Bruner-Yang’s nonprofit initiative that seeks donations to re-employ laid-off independent restaurant workers, keep the eateries open, and provide their meals to neighborhood workers on the front line of the pandemic and has since raised over a million dollars and served over 320,000 meals to essential workers and families in need across America. Johnson has been featured in Eater, Washington City Paper, local news television, Toothache Magazine, and was Esquire Magazine’s Rising Star of the Year in 2020. Tickets

A Night on the Farm is our signature fundraiser event of the year to support our educational programming for youth and adults as well as our pay-what-you-can Farm Market. We are offering tickets on a sliding scale basis so that you can select the level that best works for you to support and allow us to make the event accessible to more people.

Each Cocktail Hour ticket includes access to the event from 5-6:30 pm and 3 drink tickets.

Each Seated Dinner ticket will include access to the event from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, dinner, and 1 drink ticket. Additional drink tickets can be purchased for $10 each.

Seating

Guests will be assigned to a table at check-in. If you wish to sit with specific people, you may buy your tickets together or let us know at check-in.

Private tables for groups of 6 or 8 people are available to be reserved.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
