From Bozzelli’s:
“We are thrilled to announce that today, January 31, is our soft opening for our second DC location in Georgetown at 3000 K St, NW within the Washington Harbor. We are pleased with the transportive design provided by Grupo 7 architects and Artemis Construction on this project to bring our “Pizza Shop of the Future Experience” to the Georgetown waterfront. Our menu was carefully curated to include an array of plant based offerings.
The “space station” as we call our shops will also include a gourmet pantry and wine market. Casewinelife.com is our sister company that specializes in shipping Top 100 wines nationwide.
“We adopted the space theme a few years ago to create a transportive experience for our guests. We commonly hear “I feel like I’m in a Tesla” after giving tours of our new Georgetown space station. But creating outta this world products that we would want to eat has always been the underlying passion,” says co-owner Mike Bozzelli.
Bozzelli’s is a locally-founded concept. Brothers Lou and Tony Bozzelli first started selling Italian sandwiches in the late ’70’s in Northern Virginia out of the Pohick Inn along Richmond Highway. When Lou’s children, Michael and Mina took the reins of the family business they launched a space theme and added pizza to the menu. As mentioned, Mike Bozzelli co-owns Bozzelli’s with his sister, Mina Bozzelli. The brother and sister duo recently announced that they will be expanding their Crystal City unit to make space for the advent of Amazon’s HQ2. Order online at bozzellideli.com”
