Your Afternoon Animal Fix – AdoPtville

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share for the regular fix please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. AdoPtville is run by a volunteer who compiles these pets weekly from local shelters.

Stevie is a special cat. She was born without eyes and has been blind her whole life. She is also FIV+. Despite her blindness and her FIV+ status, Stevie is the most loving cat. She wants to be around her humans all the time. She will purr as soon as you call her name and will run over in excitement. Stevie will spend the day on your lap or on your shoulders asking for love. She will also kiss your hands and your face in response to recieving love. Stevie’s tongue often sticks out in the cutest way after she kisses you!

Even though she is FIV+, Stevie is being fostered in a multi-cat household (where all the others are FIV-) and she is thriving. Stevie LOVES other animals and loves to play, to groom, and to be groomed. Stevie needs a cat friend to help her navigate the world. She and Dawson have become best buddies and they must be adopted together.

Mila is super soft and cuddly, and a beautiful girl. Still on the puppy side, she enjoys her long walks and playtime with her person to burn off that young girl energy. Mila is also quite smart and learned the word “sit” after just a few days of practice. Mila does well in social gatherings with other humans and dogs. Mila is nervous and barks when left home alone. She will need an adopter who will work with her on this and some puppy habits. At the moment she is not yet suited to apartment living. Everyone who meets Mila falls in love with her.

Ed. Note: From the Humane Rescue Alliance

The Humane Rescue Alliance is in need of foster homes for large dogs (over 40 pounds). These pups are great temporary roommates who would love a cozy place to call home until they are adopted into their new family. Finding a gift for moms can be difficult. Google “Mother’s Day gifts,” and you’ll scroll through endless lists of beauty products, candles and fuzzy robes. Sure, those are sweet, but sometimes it’s fun to surprise loved ones with something a little more, well, practical!

Here’s one idea: Give her a gift certificate for a home cleaning from Well-Paid Maids. It’s the perfect “thank you,” “I love you” or “you’ve got this” for any mom. She can schedule the home cleaning at her convenience and breathe easy knowing she has one less thing to do.

Our cleaners will take care of everything, including vacuuming and mopping as well as cleaning and dusting countertops, tables, mirrors, appliances and more. Sinks, toilets, showers and appliance exteriors also get a good scrub.
