“Dear PoPville,
What do I do with the snow when I clear off the car? Leave it in the street? Shovel it onto our easement? My husband and I just bought a house, and this is the first time we’ve had street parking. It’s the first time we’ve had to worry about this problem, as well, even when we lived in a building with an outdoor lot.
For what it’s worth, I did the latter the other day because it was a fair amount of snow, and I was self-conscious. My block is almost entirely populated by people who’ve lived here for at least a decade, but more often several decades, so I didn’t want to rock the proverbial boat. I also wasn’t sure if there was some implicit rule city-wide about the etiquette around this.”
