Oh wow, Red Hook Lobster Pound DC’s Food Truck launched with HUGE excitement back in August 2010. Flashback:
“lines were forming by 11am. They sold out (after an additional resupply) by 3pm. Ah lobster rolls.”
What a ride!! Seriously.
Thanks to Michelle Goldchain for sharing the news with us on Saturday:
“Looks like @LobstertruckDC is leaving the food truck game!”
Red Hook Lobster Pound DC’s Facebook says: “Guess What? We’re selling our Food Trucks and all the goodies that go along with a food truck business!”
The Craigslist ad says:
“Great way to start your mobile business or expand your existing restaurant/catering business in a small or big way!
1) 2002 Freightliner MT-45 diesel with 202,802 miles. $25,900/OBO
2) 2001 Freightliner MT-45 diesel with 181,372 miles. $35,900/OBO
Both trucks have been successfully operating in DC, Arlington, Fairfax and Alexandria for over 10 years and have clean titles.
They are mechanically well-maintained, have many miles left on them and were built out by professional food truck builders (Truck #2 was custom built at a cost of over $90,000). They each are fully electric (no propane permits required) and outfitted with Onan 12kw commercial diesel generators that have had regular, professional maintenance.
Both are equipped with commercial refrigeration, flat griddles, refrigerated prep tables, all required sinks, 8 valve self-serve soda fountains, water heaters, tanks, pumps, A/C, and many spare parts. There is a third Freightliner truck available for directly swappable spares including a perfect engine and transmission.
If you’re interested in a bigger operation, there’s also a fully equipped sidewalk cart (licensed for DC and Arlington), a 2004 Chevy Astro van (for deliveries), 4 commercial reach-in refrigerators, large Vulcan gas range, 27″ refrigerated prep table, a Honda 3000 generator and much more!
Take one or both trucks plus all the extra vehicles and equipment (sold separately) and all you need is a commercial kitchen or your restaurant to operate out of (many commercial spaces available now) and you’re on your way. Contact us now and take advantage of this great opportunity!”
