“Dear PoPville,

I saw a car park this weekend at the end of a block at 3rd and I St NE and get a ticket with 30 min for being too close to the stop sign at the end of the street. That car was then towed away only a few hours later only to have another car park in the “spot” a few minutes later.

DC law is you have to park at least 25 feet short of a stop sign but there is no sign marking the distance or staying no parking in this location.

On small side streets, there always appears to be a legal parking space at the end of the block since there is no sign staying otherwise. Just thought it was really shitty for someone to get towed away for that, they were probably about 15 feet short of the stop sign and not in the way of anything. I have half a mind to go out and paint a line on the curb to help people out.”
