From MPD:

“On Monday, March 4, 2019, at approximately 9:30am a woman was double parked in the 1400 block of Saratoga Avenue, Northeast WDC. The woman got out of her car and attempted to adjust the seatbelt that was caught in the rear passengers door. While working on the seat belt a suspect approached the driver side of the vehicle open the door and drove away. The woman attempted to hold on to the door handle but was unable to maintain her grip, two witness observed the incident and invited the woman to ride with them as they followed the vehicle. As they followed the vehicle the woman advised the witnesses that her 18 month old child was in the vehicle sitting in the car seat.

The witness contacted the Fifth District Dispatcher and provided a description of the suspect and the victims vehicle. The suspect drive to Evarts street NE when he pulled to the side and parked the vehicle. While the suspect fled from the car on foot the witnesses flagged Fifth District’s Officer Tanner and provided him with a description of the fleeing suspect. Officer Tanner observed the suspect running and issued district wide description and the suspect was apprehended several blocks later.

A special thanks to the witness because without their immediate assistance we would not have been able to close this case and unite the mother and child.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
