End of an Era, Scion closed in Dupont Tuesday

2100 P Street, NW

Thanks to Josh for passing on word from Scion:

“Scion Dupont will permanently close for business Tuesday August 7, 2018. As we approached the culmination of our ten year lease we have been able to reflect upon what an honor it has been to serve the Dupont Circle community but also recognize the time has come to make way for something new and exciting! It has been our greatest honor to be a part of this neighborhood and we will miss the many friendships we have made over craft beer, burgers and of course, brunch!

The cornerstone of Scion has always been our people and the most rewarding part of owning a restaurant is the opportunity we have hundreds of times a day to satisfy hungers and put a smile on the faces of our guests and employees. We have endured some interesting times in DC but the front row seat to the special occasions, the relationships fostered and just the everyday lives of our valued guests have always made our hard work worth it!

We look forward to the opportunity to serve you less than 5 miles up the road at Scion Silver Spring and Nainai’s Noodle and Dumpling Bar. Those restaurants remain open and will begin serving bottomless brunch cocktails in the coming weeks!

With much appreciation and love,

Joanne and the entire Scion family”
