Anyone know anything else about this? I didn’t hear the shots, and I live pretty close.

    • Bobert

I’m guessing the shots may have happened indoors.

Want to add – the odds that the victims know the assailant are likely 100%. I doubt that anybody will talk, however.

Someone posted this on Nextdoor last night:

      The SMS from MPD:

I was out front on the Unit Block of O around that time and heard what I thought was fireworks. If it was the gunfire, it was a lot of shots, 5 or 6.

I liveup from the shooting–I had returned home about 9:30 and parked across the street–nothing seemed unusual when I entered my apartment. I don’t recall anyone standing outside.

I was at my computer in the bedroom when I heard very loud banging that I thought was someone at my door–I was terrified and immediately called 911. Several police cars arrived about 10 minutes later and I opened my door to see officers on the sidewalk, attempting to convince someone in the house in question to open the door.A couple of people, perhaps residents of the house, were conversing in excited tones about where “he” had gone (?).

More police arrived, yellow tape went up, and a detective appeared who asked those out front what they had seen or heard. One resident or bystander said that there had been a man lying directly in front of my apartment prior to the incident–there was a wet patch there, but it wasn’t blood. Two fire trucks pulled up and two me were removed from the house on a type of chair is and driven away in the vehicles. One of the officers told me the injuries didn’t appear to be life threatening. I went back inside but checked intermittently on the situation, Police were there for at least a couple of hours looking for evidence–scraping the sidewalk and steps in front of my apartment etc. An officer picked up a cell phone that had been on my steps during the entire incident and put it into what I took to be an evidence bag. A woman said that after the shooting a dark-colored car had sped down the street, but that she could not identify the make.

A number of people live in the house, but no one seemed to be around when I left about 4:30. The woman in the house between mine and the crime scene, who was leaving at the same time, said a car had sped by and just started shouting.’ When I Returned home about 10:00,; house was completely dark when I returned home about 10:00 pm this evening.

I plan to go to the local precinct tomorrow to get a copy of the police report. I hope that anyone with information will come forward.I live alone and I’d like to get to the bottom of this.
