A reader reports:

“Reagan building garage falling apart. Almost killed a guy. The garage for EPA, USA, and Commerce, had something from the ceiling fall down. It landed on the back of a guys car. Don’t worry, he is OK! But no one will leave this garage for many many hours. And the back of his car is destroyed. The ambulances are here as well to take an assessment.

Yikes! That’s my wife’s exit…but she left early today!

Dude. Trump was not joking about the cuts to the EPA!

This happening in the Reagan building seems like a perfect metaphor for the little guy being harmed by the callous neglect of a public good by the managing elite.

I saw this happen when I was working at the Census. The snow clearer for the winter was just piling all the snow in the corner of the top floor (instead of chucking it over) and eventually, come spring time, it began to melt and condense. Low-and-behold it cracked this massive concrete beam and they had to shut down the garage for a few days, trapping everyone’s car, to evaluate.
