Will Paisley Fig also not have wifi during the day? Looking for a Flying Fish alternative in the hood.

    • I hope Paisley Fig doesn’t have WiFi. With all due respect, restaurants and bakeries are places to eat and socialize and aren’t meant to replace office space. I live in the neighborhood and am glad Flying Fish eliminated weekend WiFi. I’m over popping into places around town and being met with glares of MacBook users camped out alone at a 4-top because my kid and I dared to talk or make our presence known while enjoying a snack.

Hooray! We’ve been eagerly anticipating this new arrival to our neighborhood. Can’t wait!!

  • bruno

Do I understand this to mean you don’t like the excessive WiFi use at FF? I feel so, too, but have adapted. Even worse is The Potter’s House on Klumbya Road.

Any news on when it may open in Mt P?

  • tj

Super excited! Great addition to the neighborhood.

No more daytime service at Room 11? That sucks, I go there every morning for coffee and the occasional bagel or biscuit. Coupe it is…

    • And Acuario

      I miss CH Coffee.

      • SPC

…and their deliciously prepared bagel sandwiches in just 32 minutes? I liked them, and the coffee, but wow, that place was slow.

    IT’S daytime operation
    IT’S wholesale business
    AAHHH my eyes

Yes, Dan, drop the offending apostrophe!

  • DCDogwalker

Well that sucks. Where will I get a decent coffee near the dog park? Will Odd Provisions make coffee? Paisley Fig had the best coffee in the neighborhood.

While this is good news for Mt Pleasant, I am so sad about losing Room 11 as a morning cafe option! Sitting in the cafe with a cup of coffee and scone or biscuit with a good book while the sun pours in is one of life’s great joys. I am hopeful that Odd Provisions can help fill this void, but it’ll be really hard to recreate the atmosphere of Room 11. Sad…
