Kingfisher Neighborhood Bar coming to Logan Circle underneath Savon Liquor

Well this is great news for Logan – a cool subterranean spot is coming to the long vacant space underneath Savon Liquor (once planned to be Faces). And the folks behind it have great subterranean experience! The owners are Daniel Williams, formerly the GM of Iron Horse, along with Ben Sislen, of Shaw Yoga and Big Chief. Sam Buis is the General Manager and comes from 10 years behind the bar and 15 in the industry, most recently bartending at Jackpot and Iron Horse. Stay tuned for updates as they get closer to opening this month.

From the owners:

Kingfisher will be a warm and welcoming space for the 14th street neighborhood, staffed by knowledgeable and engaging industry professionals. We have focused on building a fun and friendly community who will make Kingfisher a low-key space to hang out with friends. We will have popcorn (with a variety of seasonings), free koozies, an awesome curated jukebox, TVs loaded with funky old shows and movies, really cozy spaces, an upcoming trivia night, and more stuff to come.

Along with our regular happy hour (seven days a week!), we will feature can and shot combos that get people a good deal on both. We will also have a reasonably priced and approachable craft cocktail menu. And lest we forget, canned wine.”
