Chez Billy is coming to 3815 Georgia Ave, NW (hopefully in March.) I went to the first pop up and thought it was awesome. Unfortunately I can’t make this one but I’m super eager to hear what folks think of the seafood options. Some folks were curious about the last meal. I’ll say the charcuterie was freaking amazing and the wine pairings were also ridiculously good. If anyone else went – what’d you think?

  • Huh?

I went to the first one and it was A-MAZ-ING! Great food. Great drinks. I hope Petworth appreciates what they’re getting and shows this business much love.

  • Try it!

I also went to the last one and it was so awesome.. every single thing was delish! Definitely go!! I’m so excited for this place to open!!!

Hopefully in March? What’s the hold-up?

Here’s an idea… how about focus on opening the place instead of having previews? Eager for it to open!

    • near7

because it costs a lot of $$$ to open up a spot. Duh…

    • ChezBilly

Hi all – trust me, we couldn’t be more focused on getting the place open. This city of ours, which we couldn’t love more, still moves at a glacial pace when you are jumping through the hoops to get a restaurant open.

  • Grand Funk

Excited for the neighborhood but seems like a bit of a leap in eating establishments. Just hopped over the moderately priced sit down restaurant to fancy. Hopefully it is successful

Montserrat House, our host, has a catering liquor license. We follow the rules.

So, when you open, seafood will not be the only options, right?

Is Steven May the General Manager here? LOL

  • Neighbor

    Dear Chez Billy,

Please have more than one delicious vegetarian option.

Also, please make it, or at least one floor of it, a nice place to dine, rather than a loud club space with food.

      • I echo this sentiment. From the floorplan I’ve seen, it looks like this will be accomplished. Lets hope!

    • jindc

the only veggie option on the menu listed above is the dessert course.

      Oh well…

      • Well this particular tasting menu is obviously focused on fish/seafood dishes, so you shouldn’t read too much into it. I just bought tickets to this and am very excited to both attend this and support this restaurant after it opens. Yay!

    • Ditto

      +1 what Neighbor said

  • I too am eagerly awaiting opening day, Chez Billy guys. I’m less a diner and more a sit at the bar and kick back person, so I hope there’s a nice big, friendly, comfy bar. Thanks for coming to Petworth!

  • I’m waiting for the City Paper article reversing it’s “Notyetworth” judgment of years ago once this place is in full effect.

I’m very sad – I tried to get tickets for the first preview but it was sold out and we have theater tickets for Feb. 2. Any chance for a part three?? Please??
