A bit ironic since LeCorbusier was famous in his zeal to bulldoze “slums” and build modernist structures in their place. Given he recommended clearing the entire south bank of the Seine in Paris to make way for his vision, I am sure he would have preferred leveling all of Shaw and Logan Circle and replacing it with L’enfant plaza style modernism.

Steve Gaia is all about being ironic, so it makes perfect sense.

This may be a stupid question, but does anybody know how he achieved that pencil-drawn effect?

The legacy of Le Corbusier is so misunderstood. Succeeding architects just took his work in the wrong direction. Anyways, I like it.

  • he is using high quality aerosol (probably Spanish Montana) and special “detail caps”… i don’t know if he projected this image. i’ve seen him do it with and without.
