Saturday, June 20th from 9am to 3pm
260 Gallatin St. NW
Corner of 3rd St. and Gallatin St. NW
Location: 48 Bates Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20001
Time: 10:00am to 3:00pm**
Items for Sale: Practically everything we own. But expect group-house-esque furniture and stylings (two couches, coffee table, dresser, liquor cabinet, book shelves); dining room table; DVD’s—seriously, a lot of DVD’s, even more than one of the same movie; kitchen things and –wares; random things; outdoor furniture; and board games. We’re moving so as much as possible needs to go!
*Yard is in quotes because we don’t actually have a yard.
**Will most likely be around later, but we will be enjoying margaritas during the sale, so we may need to close up shop early or it may just be a party the later you come.***
***Margs are not for sale… Or maybe they are… But, really, no they’re not.
Columbia Heights has a new residential development at 1300 Park Road NW. Developed by the CAS Riegler Companies and built by Snead Construction LLC , this “boutique condominium building” as described on the developer website and originally planned as a 4 unit building with floating decks, was finally built as a 5 units building with no character nor any architectural appeal.
It is a shame that the neighborhood has added a new architectural eyesore to its collection.
What happen to the original design shown on the Snead Construction and CAS Riegler webpages? The original was not great but at least was designed with scale transition to the adjacent row houses and treated the corner as a corner. So it was obviously modified to gain saleable square footage in detriment of Architecture, Urbanism and community (See original design versus final product photos)
Hopefully the developers will provide the “several hundred square feet of outdoor space with custom landscaping”
