  • I’m guessing the pedestrian was on the construction side of 9th St where there is no walkway.

    • Aren’t they required to provide walkways on construction sites? (This location hasn’t provided them any time they are doing construction (and sometimes when they aren’t but they block off sidewalk anyway) and it has been SUPER irritating, plus I’ve seen people walking in the street there, so there seems to be an issue with that generally)

Not saying that is the case here – how many times have we all had close calls with cars even when we are crossing in the correct place at the correct time?

      • I think they have to provide one but it can be on the other side of the street, and sometimes people dont want to cross the street just to have to cross back. Granted, I am by no means a construction expert, but is there a sidewalk open on the other side?

      • Really tragic. I walk by this intersection daily and the construction has been so frustrating. There are huge fences that block the pedestrians’ view of cars and visa versa. I took a photo of this intersection back in May because I was in disbelief of how unsafe it was.

  • This is sad. He was a very nice guy. Spoke to him on a few occasions while I was at Chaplains

  • RIP Armin….good dude. Wow……

  • This hurts.. He was so lovely and friendly.. Thoughts are with his people..

  • We are neighbors and this is such a shocking and sad loss for our community. Thinking about the rest of the Chaplin team.
