“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating an Assault With Intent to Kill offense that left two victims injured.

The offense occurred in the 1300 block of Brentwood Road, Northeast on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. At approximately 8:0010:00 pm, members of the Fifth District responded to the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located an adult male and an adult female suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to a local hospital. The male victim was admitted in critical condition. The female victim is in stable condition.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.”
