  • Too bad, I liked this intimate spot with chill music. Wasn’t really ever crowd though.

    • You must not have been here on a Friday or Saturday night. I pretty much stopped going because it got way too packed to move around.

      • or a tuesday. (i’m a resident dj here). fri and sat nights are definitely crowded (as long as the dj & music is good). it’s def the overflow spot for the line at marvin. sad to see this place go. we all wish they’d just turn it into blackbyrd again.

  • Bring back karaoke at Hanoi House!

  • Is this location cursed? Pretty much every other concept these folks come up with is a smashing success, even when it’s overpriced/underwhelming/unoriginal. I mean, I spend a lot of time at Marvin, despite the fact that I feel like I’ve been robbed every time I go there. Yet nothing seems to stick here.

    • I think this place was a Marvin over-flow but for some reason it didn’t stick. Bring back Patty Boom Boom to this location and the turn style will stop turning. Still disappointed/confused PBB was closed down.

  • To me, the most interesting bit in the Post article was the fact that Eric Hilton et al. own the Blackbyrd/Den of Thieves building and that they used to own (but sold) the Patty Boom Boom building. I’d assumed they were leasing the spaces.

  • If you ask me, Capitol Hill is the real Den of Thieves
