  • $1500 for Ivy City yesterday and now $1900 for Petworth…INSANITY! And garage parking will cost you extra!

  • This one definitely made me gasp, “WHAT?!”

  • Uh, yeah, no. Way too much $.

  • Bad deal. I just inked a lease for a massive 1BR (1100 sq feet) in the heart of Adams Morgan for $1900. No stainless stuff, but at least I have a real washer/dryer (hate the combo machine!) and a balcony.

People are paying silly prices to recent buyers with large PITI’s

    • Sounds like you got a great deal, but this place could appeal to ppl too. Likely closer to a metro and grocery store than your place is, which could be the deciding factors for some people. I would probably take your place too, but I don’t think that makes this a bad deal.

  • I don’t think I would pay that price for this, but I actually think it isn’t overpriced. Looks decently sized and nicely done, and is right next to a grocery store and less than 5 minutes to the metro. Close to the bars down on Georgia and the stuff on Upshur. I think this is fairly priced.

  • definitely overpriced!!

$1500, tops. at least they aren’t asking this for a basement.

    • You can barely get a 1 bedroom basement apartment this close to the metro in petworth for $1500. This looks considerably nicer. I wouldn’t be surprised if this rents pretty quickly at 1900.

      • I just got one right over the metro, 24hr gym, rooftop garden and grills, dry cleaning service, etc for $1586. This unit featured is designed for someone who is lazy and has money that doesnt want to look spend any time at all looking at places.

        • Doesn’t want to spend any time at all*

I also have views out my window of the national cathedral.

**wish there was an edit feature**

  • Not a great deal, but the rental market tends to heat up in the summertime and I wouldn’t be surprised if it did rent for this much (likely to someone moving to DC from outside of the area).

  • This combo washer/dryer machines are so terrible! You couldn’t pay me to ever have one again.

  • This is horrendously overpriced given the location. Brand new luxury apts are literally connected to this building and are cheaper with amenities. I just signed a lease at Park Place directly above the metro for a larger unit and $500 less. My partner has a remodeled/gentrified house on this very block – 5 bedrooms, 2 baths, huge yard, for double this price. This person is high on capital.
