  • I’m excited about this coffeehouse, but I wonder what this will do to the Curbside Cafe’s business?

  • Not hard to believe at all. From a specialty coffee and neighborhood coffee shop point of view, DC has plenty of room left to infill…

  • Yay! We need much more commerce over this way. Now, sports bar and diner, please come to the Stadium Armory Metro.

  • That spot has been vacant for about 2 1/2 years and was last a junky boodega. Hopefully the tenant is able to sort out permitting, licensing and zoning matters with that property. The landlord had an orange sticker on the store for a while for no building permits.

    • I live down the block. The stop work order was up for two days and it was regarding replacing windows without a permit. Turns out hey didn’t need a permit.

  • wtf is a “french press pourover?”

But Yay to breakfast sandwiches so close by. I’ll continue to schlep to peregrine for coffee 🙂

    • they’re separate things on the menu…i too would wonder what a french press pourover would look like. happy to have chemex & breakfast sammies in the neighborhood though!

This’ll be two blocks from my house. Very excited to have a new spot coming in. As anyone in the neighborhood knows, we have Curbside and the Pretzel shop (both great), but that’s about it.

  • I’m stoked! There’s so much good vacant storefront space all over the Hill. It’s great to see it start to get utilized again. We have Millie’s, Far East, and even Grand Liquor just up 15th that either replaced crappy existing businesses, or occupied vacant space. Hopefully the spread continues.
