Keynote Speaker: Tanya Golazh-Boza, “As a writer, speaker, and teacher, she tells stories of people and of systems to help colleagues, students, readers, and listeners understand how racism and capitalism structure our lives and what we need to do to change this country and the world.
She is currently working on a National Science Foundation-funded study that explores how gentrification and neighborhood change shape the reintegration trajectories of formerly incarcerated men. This research combines interviews with 75 formerly incarcerated men in Washington, DC with Census data, ACS data, and a housing survey.
