In Less Pleasant Animal News – $5,000 reward for info on a Cat Shot in the Eye with a BB Gun

From Washington Humane Society:

“On Friday March 13, 2015, a young, grey, male, domestic short haired community cat was recovered from the 1400 Block of G St. NE with an eye injury. Upon treating the cat he was found to have a BB lodged in his eye. Based on the condition of the eye/wound it is suspected that the cat was shot not much earlier than the day he was recovered.

The Washington Humane Society is seeking the help of the community for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this horrific act of animal cruelty. The Washington Humane Society is offering a $5,000 reward that will be given to any person who provides such information.

If you have any information about this case, please contact the

  • Somebody please shoot the kid that did this in the eye, with a BB gun.

  • binpetworth

This is the type of crime that makes the old “eye for an eye” rather appealing.

  • I love animals as much as the next guy, but couldn’t $5,000 be better spent somehow else? This is one cat we’re talking about. I doubt if a human was shot with a BB gun, the cops could/would raise such a reward…
