Concrete Repair:

“My husband and I recently noticed that the outdoor stairwell leading to our basement has developed some cracks (that are growing). We think water might be getting in, which is causing the cracks. Anyone have a recommendation for someone who does concrete repair work? Not sure if this is a bigger more serious water issue, or if the contractor who flipped the house two years ago just did shoddy work. Thank you!”

  • If the cracks aren’t too big/numerous, you should be able to do it yourself for 20 bucks. Get a tub of concrete patch from the hardware store. Fill the cracks, let it cure for a couple weeks, then spray it with Thompson’s Water Seal.

  • yes the contractor who flipped the house did shoddy work. you can just assume that in all cases.
