MPD: “Arrests Made in Child Sexual Abuse Case: 3200 Block of Park Place, NW”

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Youth Investigations Division have announced that two arrests have been made in the first degree child sexual abuse which occurred in the 3200 block of Park Place, Northwest.

On Thursday, July 17, 2014, the Youth Investigations Division learned of a sexual assault that occurred at an unknown location in the District of Columbia. Subsequent investigation identified the location of the assault as the 3200 block of Park Place, NW, where a juvenile was sexually assaulted by two adult males.

On Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at approximately 7:21 pm, members from the Youth Investigations Division arrested 45 year-old Orlando James Roberts of Northwest, Washington, DC, and charged him with First Degree Child Sexual Abuse.

Subsequently, at approximately 8:30 pm, members from Prince George’s County Police and District Heights Police Departments arrested 19 year-old Javon Rashawn Henson of District Heights, Maryland, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, which charges him with First Degree Child Sexual Abuse. Mr. Henson is being held as a fugitive.”

  • Jesus, how horrible. That poor kid. I hope that they have a really good support system and all of the resources that they need to deal with this.

  • I wonder if this was the guy arrested outside of Looking Glass at around 8:00 PM last night.

    There were about a dozen MPD officers there and one of them was one of the biggest human beings I’ve ever seen. Hulking dude holding a battering ram.
