  • Any word on garbage removal? Hope it’s better than last time. I can’t wait three weeks again!

    • The 4D listserv said that people with garbage pickup scheduled for Thursday would be picked up next Thursday. Basically, they’re skipping collection.

  • Yikes, that would be rough. Also, any word on postal service? I’ve been waiting for some really important items all week and now today there has been no delivery at all :/

    • “The nor’easter is bringing heavy snow and mixed precipitation throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The Postal Service is currently experiencing impacts to delivery and retail services in Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia and the Washington, DC area. Further delays are expected in Pennsylvania, New York, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington, DC. We will make every attempt to provide service where it is safe to do so.” Feb. 13, 2014 3PM – http://about.usps.com/news/service-alerts/welcome.htm

    • I didn’t get any mail today.

  • I just looked out my window and it’s snowing hard in my 16th Street Heights neighborhood. I still don’t trust D.C. Government because they may change their mind about lifting the snow emergency. LOL

  • I love this snowwoman — especially the inventive use of parts of a not-yet-picked-up-by-the-city Christmas tree for the hair and the skirt!
