  • how horrible.

  • Anyone know exactly where this happened?

  • Channel 7 news reports an arrest has been made – 21 year old David Jamal Wilson. The report says Howard Venable was stabbed inside his home

I was walking by DC USA saturday night around 10 and saw a trail of blood, a good amount spanning almost two blocks. Do you think this guy was stabbed there and made it to fuller street? Did anyone else see the blood by DC USA saturday night or know any thing about what happened?

    • I walked by around the same time and saw the blood too; the trail continued West onto Irving Street.

      • Just saw the times – the blood (or whatever it was) looked very fresh and wasn’t smeared so I doubt it would’ve been remnants from something that occurred before 7pm

we saw a bike lock laying in the sidewalk and then the blood trail…we figured someone could have wacked someone with that which cause the bleeding…but it looked more like a stab wound from the drips. Somewhat shocking no one saw what happened in front of that area which was extremely crowded even at 10PM. Maybe im just in a little shock i just moved to the neighborhood and have never seen blood spatter on the sidewalks before.

        • Saw this too – southbound side of 14th Street from Irving to Park (at least) around 11pm. I doubt it’s related (that’s a long way to go if you’re leaking that much blood) but does anyone know what that was all about?

The blood in question appears to have been left over from an incident last night around 945pm where a suspect broke out a storefront window (dentist office) and cut himself in the process. The suspect was last seen fleeing on a bike and left a long blood trail in the process.

Could MPD please let the community know what happened in front of Safeway?

  • My old hood – anyone know if Shine still hangs out around there?

  • Channel 4 called the area Columbia Heights, though some might argue that it’s Reed-Cooke, a subset of Adams Morgan. Also, the man charged was roommates with the deceased.
