Anyone know if these types of round turrets originally had curved windows? Or were they always flat?
They’re all over Capitol Hill, and very few have curved windows, which makes me think that was the original way to do it, and if the windows are flat, that means they’ve been replaced cheaply.
many definitely had curves. but this was before double glazing, and really any thoughts of windows being energy efficient.
