A reader sends some interesting scuttlebutt for the recently close Pottery Barn in Chevy Chase Pavilion at 5345 Wisconsin Ave, NW. Construction has started on the space and the reader here’s an H & M will be taking over. Anyone else hear that rumor?

Do not like.
Seems like there are enough good things about dining outdoors that they...
A Vitamenwater bottle will hold almost a whole bottle of wine. White is easiest.
This has extinguished any lingering doubts I had about not dining in Adams Morgan. But...
Oh, one more rant/rave
Rave: Our vet did an AMAZING job on my dog's ACL surgery....
Rant: refinancing. What a pain in the butt. It's like, "oh, no, we forgot that we also...
I worked at this Pottery Barn in HS. Mostly good memories of the place… that said, H&M is probably a better fit here (no pun intended). Most of the other retailers along this strip are clothing-oriented.
H&M is a great place to shop if you’re a big supporter of child slave labor, like me!
H&M…really? yuk!
Probably a good fit. People in this area seem to like H&M, as their other area stores seem wildly successful.
hopefully not. it wont feet with the other stores in the area like bloomingdales saks, neimas, LV, cole haan…….
But it WILL fit in well with other stores in the area such as Loehman’s and the new-ish Nordstrom Rack, and I think it will be a great fit for the CC Pavillion with World Market. I think it’s a great fit for the area in general, and a good balance with the more expensive stores. (Buy the jacket at Saks, the jeans at the gap, the accessories at J. Crew, the jewelry at Tiffanys and the tops at H & M.)
I don’t see why it wouldn’t be a great location. Makes sense to me. That is a serious shopping area. It will do well.
