Back in early Jan. I mentioned that Cafe Carvy was coming into the old Spice Indian Bistro space at 1020 19th St, NW. They’ve opened. Anyone try out the sandwiches?

That's MD for 11 mph over. DC's are all over the place.
I spoke to the owner, Dana, about the place, and he is very excited about it opening. Should be some great sandwiches.
Cafe Stabby has a better ring to it.
Work around the corner. I went in there. The sandwiches are decent. I like them carving the meat off of and putting in on the sandwich.
I ate there last week. The carved meats are fresh and they give generous portions. The bread is fresh. Staff is nice, and the place is clean. I’m glad to have a nice sandwich shop in the area besides the Potbelly’s and Cosi’s of the area.
I miss Jack’s, the old sandwich and hot food bar place.
I ate there for lunch yesterday. The food was awesome! I had a pastrami sandwich on pumpernickel with some buffalo bleu cheese chips. Great meal! They are also giving away free fountain drinks with a meal until February 10th. I highly recommend checking it out!
