  • Nice price, and the area is super safe. But it’s also boring as hell. Might as well be a retirement community. And there’s no metro access, so you have to own a car if you want to go anywhere fun.

  • Probably a good deal for a GTown grad student, but it’s pretty out of the way. Good luck finding a cab after 8 PM up there.

  • I live in the neighborhood without a car and do just fine – there’s a Safeway within walking distance and the D6 takes you either to Dupont Circle Metro or wherever you need to go downtown. If you want to be within walking distance of bars and have the convenience of being able to flag down a cab outside your front door rather than calling one, then sure, this is not the neighborhood for you — actually, on second thought everyone should stay out so that rent in the neighborhood doesn’t go up!

  • Very nice. Not everyone needs to have a dozen bars and restaurants outside their front door. A lot of people in DC do have a car, and I think it would be easy to get to other parts of the city from here if you did.

  • Eyeless lived there about 10 years ago for two years in a condo/townhouse overlooking the reservoir. This is the most white-bred community i’ve ever lived in and it was as boring as SHIT! As Brookland says, it may as well have been a retirement community. I don’t ever want to lay eyes on the area again. Ever!

    • Well since you’re Eyeless that shouldn’t be a problem. (Also my favorite Huxley novel…I should read it again.)
