Wow, $1250 for a 2 bed/1 bath – think that’s reasonable?

  • ok deal for proximity to metro and 11 st. party zone… depends on the building (no outdoor pictures may be a bad sign?)

    • You can see the builing’s exterior on Google Maps. It’s a fairly nondescript three-story brick building, right next to the BP station at Georgia and Park. Like someone else said, whether it’s a good deal or not depends on how comfortable the potential occupant feels there. If your comfort level there is high, then I’d say it’s an outstanding deal.

  • Not sure which building that is. It’s definitely not the nicest stretch of neighborhood right there but super convenient to 11th st, petworth metro, and georgia ave buses. But if the building is in decent shape and one has a decent tolerance for the sketch factor, I would call that a super deal. pet-friendly too? awesome.

  • dont leave your gps in sight

  • The building isn’t bad, but I wouldn’t live any lower than the third floor on that particular alley. I can’t imagine where parking is, since there is a very small lot.

Very close to the Petworth metro – not so close to the Columbia Heights Metro.

Sketch factor here would be your run of the mill alley f**king and public urination/defecation. There are lots of late night muggings around here, so I would think that you should plan to take cabs if you’re headed home late.

  • We live in a row house on this block. It’s in the same block as the 3D police substation, so the block itself is definitely safe. Some people might not feel comfortable since Park Morton is just on the other side of Georgia Ave, but we like our block a lot. And, yes, the Petworth metro is closer, but the Columbia Heights metro is 12 minutes tops. Redrocks and Meridian Pint are super close, and Giant is just two blocks past that.

Tried to access the craigslist ad and it said it had been deleted by author.

  • I haven’t hung out around that area since Temperance Hall ceased to exist, but it was definitely pretty sketch back then.
