“Dear PoPville,
Our neighbor has been consistently littering out of his car. Something had to be done. A few of us were outside and a number of us caught this on video. Sent a nice message to our neighbor.
Hope this helps our neighbor to do better and be better! (more…)

Thanks to Lisa for sending from “Missouri Ave NW at the intersection with Georgia Ave:
NEW RED LIGHT CAMERA $150”

“Dear PoPville,
Several blocks in the AdMo-Kalorama neighborhood are now signed “No Parking” for the remainder of the month, meaning a couple hundred-plus parking spaces will get axed during that time. Can understand the one block of Kalorama Road and Wyoming Avenue (between Columbia Road and 18th Street) getting the signs in preparation for the one-way conversion. (more…)

Thanks to M. for sending: “I go past this house while I’m walking my dog in Brightwood. I certainly would never want to step up on their porch.”
Update from a reader:
“as a long-time neighbor of this house, this isn’t a statement of violence but on the human experience. They have had many posted statements that align with violence from authority to the black community. I can see how this could be misinterpreted, but it’s about the dangers of our flawed society and not a threat to our neighbors.”

“Dear PoPville,
I’m genuinely curious what the laws are around leaving your car parked for an extended period of time in an area where there are no clear signs limiting it.

Thanks to Victoria for sending: “From a trail in Rock Creek park this morning. God bless the youths.”

Thanks to W. for sending:
“A very kind, witty and helpful note left with us this morning in Brightwood Park. The orientation was unintentional so we quickly fixed it in honor of His Majesty for today. (May revert it back to upside down again tomorrow in a mild form of protest).”

Thanks to S. for passing on this super sad note from Tenleytown:
“Thelma chicken has gone away for the summer to visit her family. We hope that she (or one of her sisters!) will be back in the fall. We will miss you Thelma…”
