A friend of mine lost her sweet dog George when he jumped from her car window on May 23 between 4 and 4:30pm. Any help finding him would be appreciated! The route she took was Brandywine St – 46th NW – Mass Ave – Nebraska Ave – Foxhall – Key Bridge – 29 – I-66 W to exit 69 in Falls Church. “Dog found without collar on 17th St and New Hampshire Ave NW last night (5/21) around 11:30 PM. She is a happy and friendly chihuahua mix. Will be taking to shelter on New York Ave around 9:30 AM today. Hope to reunite her with owner – please call 215-206-1844.”
“We are missing our beagle mix, Ziggy. She is 35 lbs. and mostly white with large black spots, a blue and red collar, 15 months old. Very friendly, especially with other dogs and children. Last seen 5/19 near Newton and Georgia Ave. If you think you have seen her, please get in touch with Scott at 703-994-3930 Thank you!”
“Our cat, Bernardo O’Higgins, is a small little dude, and he is yellow/ginger-colored with yellow/green eyes, a white chest, white patch on his belly, white tips on his front paws, and white back paws. He also has some light striping on his whole body. He is also a little cross-eyed, which just makes him more endearing. He is fast and could probably survive just fine outdoors, but we love him very much and want him back home (inside!).
We live Riggs Park along the border with Maryland, so we are hoping that O’Higgins is still somewhere in the neighborhood. If anyone spots him, they can call us at 248-345-7563 and ask for Eben. O’Higgins is a friendly guy, but he might run if anyone tries to chase him…so they shouldn’t do that.”
“Could you post this photo of a dog on the unit block of R st NW. Collar but no tags. Male, about 35 lbs. Seems skittish but like he’s a pet. Won’t let me catch him. Maybe just escaped from the yard? Seen at 7:15 am.”
“Neighbors notified those on our block (9th and O St NW) that the dog below turned up on their doorstep early this morning. They were heading out of town and so dropped it off at the Humane Society on NY Ave.”
“One of my colleagues found a puppy by rock creek and mass Ave. She came running across Mass Ave. She’s very well behaved and adorable. We contacted the Humane Society and local animal control picked up the puppy.”

“My sister’s dog went missing this morning in Takoma, DC. She is the sweetest ever 9 y/o boxer lab mix and will come up to anyone if called over. Her name is Coco and she went missing from her fenced in backyard somewhere between 8-9:30am today. She does not have tags but does have a silver chain collar on.”
