“Dear PoPville,

I found this dog this morning around 10AM near my house on Capitol Hill at 10th and D NE. A neighbor walking her dog found the dog running around the streets and we put her in my backyard for now so that she wouldn’t be running wild. She’s a small black Chihuahua looking mix.

Anyone with info can contact info(at)eidolonfilms.com”

“Dear PoPville,

Dog found on Rhode Island Ave NE near 3rd Street NE – no collar. He seems to be a pretty young poodle mix, with all white fur except the ends of his ears, which are grey. Found him running in and out of traffic, didn’t seem too savvy on the streets. At first he was really shy, but then let me pick him up and has been pretty friendly since then. He has not been neutered and is pretty thin, which makes me think he’s been a stray for a while.

Anyone recognize him or heard of any missing dogs in the area of Eckington, please feel free to email me: emilyabird(at)gmail(dot)com”

“35 lb. shephard mix
Found wearing white collar, no tags and not micro-chipped (was checked at WHS this afternoon)
Found approx 2pm on 600 block of Hamilton NW
Extremely sweet dog, very people friendly
Recently neutered (which leads me to expect that there is certainly somebody out there missing him).

If you know this super sweet little guy please email m.elizabethrobinson(at)gmail(dot)com or call the Washington Humane Society.”

“Dear PoP,

My dog Peat escaped from my backyard Friday. I haven’t received a call about him and won’t because his name tag came off in the escape. His name is Peat. He is a malamute/husky mix, about 75 pounds, and very friendly. If someone has seen him or knows where he is they can email me at [email protected]. I’ve attached his picture (he normally looks much happier).”

Update: Dog has been found!

“Dear PoP,

His name is Manny, he is a Newfoundland/St Bernard mix (yes he is that big!) and is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. He was last seen at the park at 39th Street NW (Nov. 2) and ran into the woods leading into Rock Creek Park. He was wearing tags, but unfortunately they found the collar and tags, so he will have no identification now. He is very friendly, follows basic commands and is not aggressive at all. I have attached a photo of him. If anyone has seen him or knows of his whereabouts, please contact me at [email protected]. Thanks and I hope that the geographically diverse readership can help out!”
