The market is free to attend and runs from 12:00-5:00pm ft. beats from Les the DJ and DJ Mắmchèlla, plus artists, chefs, and makers to celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Tasting tickets are available now with a dozen beers for $25 and 2:00pm or 3:30pm time slots, ft. pours from Lost Generation, Bluejacket, Elder Pine, YOJU Soju, and spring #dcbeer offerings from DC Brau, Right Proper, Soul Mega, and Red Bear, plus discussion with the brewers/makers and DC Beer teams.

Kick up your heels at Bad Medicine’s COMEDY CABARET extravaganza at the DC Improv Comedy Club on Tuesday, May 21st. Revel in the sights and sounds of this entertaining musical revue, with songs, dance and sketch comedy that will have you shouting, “Encore!”

Inspired by Saturday Night Live, Bad Medicine is DC’s premier sketch comedy troupe. Trained by the Upright Citizens Brigade and Second City, their comedy focuses on the absurdity of life. For more than half a decade, Bad Medicine has performed at North American festivals like Montreal Sketchfest, NYC Sketchfest, Chicago Sketchfest, and Sketchfest Seattle. They also produce award-winning short comedy films, and a podcast about the craft of sketch comedy called Sketch Nerds

Works from emerging choreographers, Chanel Da Silva and Houston Thomas will elevate diverse voices and new perspectives in dance. Don’t miss this unforgettable night of dynamic and groundbreaking performance.

The annual DC Day of Archaeology Festival gathers archaeologists from Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia together to talk about our local history and heritage. Talk to archaeologists in person and learn more about archaeological science and the past of our communities. There will be engaging activities for children, artifact displays, music, and crafts. Organized by the local nonprofit Archaeology in the Community, this free event will be held at Dumbarton House on June 1 at 10:00 AM-3:00 PM.

Come celebrate and bid farewell to Frank Albinder in his final concert as Music Director of the Washington Men’s Camerata featuring a special program of his most cherished pieces for men’s chorus with works by Ron Jeffers, Peter Schickele, Amy Beach, Nikolai Golovanov, Gabriel Fauré, Randall Thompson and others.

Calling all home bakers and professional bakers alike! CGA is hosting its next Baker Meet Up on Monday, June 3 from 6-8 p.m. at the University of the District of Columbia. This time around, we’re focusing on baking with local rye, a much-loved grain most famous for its use in hearty Nordic and Baltic-style breads like pumpernickel and rugbrød. Andrew Roy, Owner and Head Baker at Twin Bears Bakery will give a brief talk about his creative uses of rye in his breads. Serious Home Baker and CGA member Mark Woodward will also present lessons learned about baking rye breads at home. Come hungry & ready to share your bake and how you like to use local rye in your baking as well as mingle with other like-minded baking enthusiasts! Space is limited & advanced registration is required.
