Last night Rebecca asked around 7:30pm: “huge swarm of bats nearby Edgewood Rec Center?!?”

Rebecca later followed up: “CHIMNEY SWIFTS! I asked an expert bird friend. They did, in fact, all dive into that chimney together!”

Vera Marie replied: “My friends thought these were birds; coworkers thinks bats. This was around dusk at the neighboring rooftop a few weeks ago” (more…)

Paging the local entomologists, again. I’m guessing the Polyphemus moth caterpillar but please correct me if I’m wrong, which is a significant possibility as my expertise is actually in ichthyology.
