DC Water issued a Boil Water Advisory today for all customers in the District of Columbia, as well as the Pentagon, Arlington National Cemetery and Reagan National Airport, due to a drop in water supply from the Washington Aqueduct.

“Dear PoPville,

Our beloved miniature dachshund named Pepperoni was having difficulty breathing earlier today and at the recommendation of our normal Vet at Dupont veterinary clinic we brought him to friendship animal hospital for urgent care.

We were waiting all afternoon to hear an update from them and it wasn’t until the doctor taking care of Pepperoni called us from their personal cellphone number that we finally received an update about his status.

Whereupon we discovered that Verizon’s call filter service had marked all 50+ calls from friendship animal hospital’s publicly listed phone number as spam and were subsequently blocked. (more…)
