Archaeology in the Community (AITC) is a DC-based education nonprofit dedicated to teaching students of all ages about how archaeology works and why it’s so important. On Sat. July 27th, AITC will be holding a public, kid-friendly festival at Turkey Thicket Park. Along with displays, artifacts and posters with fun ways engage, families will have opportunity to do mock excavations, while enjoying live music, face painting, and food from some of DC’s best food trucks. Anyone who loves archaeology, history, face painting and food trucks should stop by!
