$50 plus taxJoin mixologist Horus Alvarez as he takes the class through the history and culture of DC cocktails at U Street’s Vinoteca. The class will cover cover cocktail-making basics, explore DC’s cocktail culture before and after prohibition, highlight locally-made spirits such as Green Hat Gin and Wasmund’s Whisky and showcase the cocktails Washington is drinking now. Class members will enjoy four different cocktails—including DC’s signature cocktail, the Rickey— along with light food pairings from Executive Chef Lonnie Zoeller.
