Wendy reported about 6:15pm “Southbound Wisconsin at Cathedral. Cars plowed into bus stop”

Lindsey replied: “Same car drove up on the sidewalk and plowed down two railings, a tree and a street sign and then lost its bumper before speeding down a one way street going the wrong way a little before 5pm (20th and Belmont)”

Yikes. Thanks to Sarah for sending Saturday around 10pm:

“There was a flat bed tow truck that had a US postal van on it, and a car that has clearly driven up on the sidewalk, plus signs of a fender bender. Anyone know what happened? Scary to think of a car driving up on the sidewalk!”

“Dear PoPville,

The Logan Circle neighborhood is overridden with delivery trucks many of which do not follow proper street signage. Today a forty-two foot Sysco truck exiting the alley behind Pearl Dive, Rice and Ghibellina blocked traffic for twenty minutes. Fortunately neighbors were able to stop traffic and move legally parked cars in order to clear the street.” (more…)

Thanks to all who messaged about the van that ended up in the middle of Sherman Circle yesterday:

“Odd Sherman Circle crash from today. Incredible the vehicle ended up in the middle of the circle. Police temporarily taped off the area. Car malfunction? Thankfully, looked like no one was hurt.”

“The kicker is how far the truck made it into the circle. It ran all the way up to the center and hit a light pole. All air bags deployed. Park police had it all taped off and waiting for tow truck. This happened about 4pm.”
