Friday afternoon my kids and I were almost run over by a crazy driver in the 2600 block of P st, nw. in Georgetown. We had just parked and were waking to the sidewalk when someone came barreling down the block, crashed into the car parked behind us and then slammed into my car, pushing it into the sidewalk and almost crushing my 8 year old and me and totaling the car. While I know it isn’t rare to complain about local drivers and their lack of basic knowledge of the task at hand, I’ve seen a bunch of more brazen moves that I was wondering others had noticed.

Today, a pickup truck decided the guy in front of him was going too slow, and went across a double yellow line to zoom around him on Irving (and almost hit me in the process). (more…)

“The truck was hauling down Rhode Island, going the wrong way. Apparently he hit a small Mini Cooper with someone inside. Swerved in to the small park on 12/P/Rhode Island and in to a tree. One guy who was driving ran off. Apparently a civilian was chasing after him also. Not sure if they got them. Happened around 720AM. FL plates.
