Council Member Henderson writes: “This is a childcare center. Like most in DC it was supposed to open at 7am. Now many families are learning they won’t have care today and the foreseeable future. I can only imagine what it will take this small biz to rebuild.

News reports indicate the driver was speeding.”

Woman repeatedly circled McDonalds while driving on the sidewalk! No one injured.
A man engaged the driver in conversation to stop her from continuing to drive until police arrived and took over.”

Sunday around 6am a reader reported: “Narrowly avoided being hit by the black Kia at a red light, only for it to cause a massive accident at the next intersection of North Capitol and Michigan. E. reports around 1:15pm: “Allegedly it’s 25mph going south on North Capitol. This is between Bryant and Adams blocks. There is a southbound speed camera, but it is just south of Michigan Ave. all the drag racing happens between Channing and the underpass at Rhode Island Ave. More deterrents are needed along the southbound stretch.” (more…)
