From WMATA:

“Effective immediately, Metro will make masks optional on Metrorail, Metrobus and MetroAccess for its customers. Masks also will be optional for Metro employees. This change comes as a result of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) suspending enforcement, while the Biden Administration reviews a federal judge’s ruling.

“Our mask mandate has been based on federal guidance,” said General Manager and Chief Executive Officer Paul J. Wiedefeld. “We will continue to monitor this situation as it unfolds, but masks will be optional on Metro property until further notice.”

Metro encourages its customers to make decisions that are in their best interests. Updates will be provided as new information becomes available.”

“Dear PoPville,

I had a question that I thoughts your readers might know. Have the flights paths for DCA recently changed? Yesterday AlertDC reported: ” US Air Force reports a flyover in the NCR consisting of two (2) military aircrafts at National Park on Thursday, April 7th, 2022 at 3:59PM.”

The Nats confirmed “Flyover by the 113th Wing, 121st Fighter Squadron from the D.C. Air National Guard, in F-16 Jets”

Since the game was pushed back to 7:05pm, presumably this will now occur at 6:59. Anyway if you see/hear some fighter jets later, this is why.

CG writes: “The line at terminal A this morning, all the way to the front doors and then wrapped back ALL THE WAY back to the normal beginning of the line. At 5:30am. If you have early morning, get there early. Absolutely no pre check line.”
