“Norton Writes Postmaster General Requesting USPS Meet with Ward 5 Residents”

“Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) wrote Postmaster General and CEO Louis DeJoy after USPS took more than six weeks to respond to her constituent services office’s request for a meeting to address widespread mail delivery problems in Ward 5 in D.C. When the Postal Service did respond, it said no such meeting could be held due to a 45-day election blackout period. In her letter, Norton urged USPS to at least independently meet with Ward 5 residents no later than October 11, 2024.”

ICYMI: “The USPS is proposing moving the Temple Heights location that just closed into the former Drybar spot” and “the east-end of the H Street corridor is also seeing a proposal for our post office to move”

“I wanted to send along to you a mailer that I received about the post office at the Reeves Center. The moving of this location isn’t a big shocker since the Reeves Center is looking to be redeveloped.”

“Do you think this is related to stealing checks? I can’t imagine USPS would go after someone stealing packages. It must be really bad if USPS is actually getting involved?

‘WANTED: We’re offering up to $100K reward for info leading to the arrest & conviction of suspect who has been stealing mail from apartment buildings in the Adams Morgan area of northwest Washington, DC from October 2023 to present.'” (more…)
