“Dear PoP,

The pop up at 9th and I NE that you featured a week or two ago got messed up by the winds. Last night the block was cordoned off as fire and others tried to figure out what to do. Then later contractors were there putting up bracing, but it looks like the structure is in big trouble.”

That was serious wind. Do you think they have to start over from scratch or can this be salvaged?

I haven’t seen too many with a brick front. How would you rate this one – thumbs up or down? I usually feel like I can predict if people are gonna like or hate these but I have no idea about this one.

It’s not too far from the Florida Ave, NE Market.

The one above is from 447 Tennessee Ave, NE and was also for sale. Asking price was $874,998 and it has gone under contract. You can see photos of the inside here.

Below is from 10th and V St, NW (I think or somewhere close by). The one on the right is for rent. There are two – 2 bed loft units for rent at $2600 and $2800. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find any photos of the inside.

“Dear PoP,

The rowhouse at 1470 has been gutted and extended to be made into condos, and a big pop-up is being added. So far, I’m a fan, but it’s far from complete.”

What do you guys think so far?

You can find more info about the project here. I’ll be sure to update with a proper judging buildings post when construction is completed.

It’s supposed to eventually look like this:
